Tournaments
The
University of Maryland Tournament Program is open to anyone
who maintains a USGA handicap at the University of Maryland.
You do
not have to be a golf course member.
Sign up on the day of the event,
play in your regular foursome, and turn in a signed and attested
scorecard to the Golf Shop upon completion of play.
Program Details

All events pay 60% of purse
for NET, 40% for GROSS

Daily Closest to the Pin
contest on #8 ($10 in Shop credit)

Play in your own group and
have your card attested

One-day events may be
played on Saturday and/or Sunday

Tees: Men: WHITE, Seniors
(55+):BLACK, Women:RED

Results will be posted in
the Golf Shop and on the website

Club Championship
The
Club Championship is an individual 36-hole stroke play
competition played the last weekend of August. You must have played in
at least 2 weekly tournaments in order to be eligible. Pairings will be
made by the Golf Shop staff, and will be between 7:45 - 8:15 and 10:45 -
11:15 on Saturday and 7:30 - 8:30 on Sunday. The
Gross and Net Club Champions
will have their names
permanently engraved on the trophies in the Clubhouse.

The Masters |
Golfer's score will be combined with the Sunday score of a
player of their choice participating in the Masters.
18 Holes, Stroke Play, 100% Handicap |

Sat/Sun April 19-20 |
Match Play Qualifier |
Stroke play qualifying round for the summer-long match play club
championship. The low 8 gross scores will be placed in the
gross division. From the remaining participants, 8 net
qualifiers will be seeded by net score. Qualifiers will have a
1 week period to complete each match. Gross division matches
will be played with no handicap. Net division matches will be
played with 100% of handicap, stroked off the lower handicap. |

Sat/Sun May 10-11 |
Skins |
Players win by having the lowest score on a particular hole out
of the entire field. Prizes are determined by dividing the
total purse, by the total number of skins. DUE TO THE
WEATHER THIS EVEN WILL BE PLAYED ON THE 17th & 18th OF MAY |

Stableford |
This is a modified Stableford played in memory of the defunct
International Championship. Earn points for bogeys, pars,
birdies, and eagles. 18 Holes, 100% Handicap |

Sat, June 7 |
Member-Guest |
Golf course members may invite one guest for a weekend of fun.
Three 9 hole matches, playoff, and dinner and awards. Practice
round on Friday. |

U.S. Open |
Golfer's score will be combined with the Sunday score of a
player of their choice participating in the US Open.

Red, White & Blue |
Participants play 6 holes each from the red, white and gold
tees. Women and seniors play red/black/white.
