2024 University of Maryland Amateur Tournament
Format:
36 holes, medal play open to any amateur golfer holding a current USGA Handicap from a PGA recognized facility. All play will be scratch within each flight with the exception of the Senior Flight.

-6 players required in each flight minimum
-If in flights 3 or 4 we do not receive at least 6 entries we will combine those two flights and have Gross & Net Prizes for that combined flight.
Entries:
Entry forms must be received by 5:00 PM on Wednesday, October 25th, 2023. The field will be limited to the first 104 players. Each flight must have a minimum of six entries to hold that flight. Entries submitted after the entry deadline will be placed on a waiting list with priority given to the Championship flight.
Fees: UMD Golf Course Members $ 100
UMD College Park Students $ 140
All other entrants $ 210
Entry Includes: 2 Rounds of Golf and Carts, Range Balls, Prizes & Awards. *Skins are optional charges*
Tee times will be 830am-1030am starting off of holes 1 & 10 both days.
One practice round will be available Monday-Friday the week of the for fee of $20. Call the Pro Shop to set up tee times; any other practice rounds will be at the regular rates
Prizes:
At least 20% of each flight will receive golf shop certificates. The final number of participants in each flight will determine the total prize payout. There must be at least 8 entrants in a flight for prizes to be awarded.
Rules:
U.S.G.A. rules will govern all play with the exception of local rules. Any player that withdraws from the tournament after the entry deadline but before the first round will receive the entry fee in the form of a gift certificate.
Pairings:
The first round pairings will be by random draw. Players will be re-paired after day one according to scores within their own flight. Starting times for the first round will be available by calling the Golf Shop (301-314-4653) or online at the following link on Thursday, October 27th
Cart Policy- We will only provide one golf cart to a group with one or two riding players. Two carts will be provided if three or four players are rdiing. There are no single rider cart opportunities.
Spectators- Spectators are allowed but are required to walk and remain on the cart path at all times.
