Young Professional Membership Process

Existing Members

• Can renew their young professional membership for the upcoming season as long as they still meet the age requirement (under the age of 35 on April 1st).

New Members

• We are currently not accepting new member Young Professional applications. If you are not currently a member here at the UMD Golf Course but would like to be added to the New Member Young Professional waitlist  please complete the wait list form.
• On March 16th, if there are any spots avaliable for young professional memberships, we will do a lottery from the waitlist and invite those who are selected to join until our limit is met.
• Tip: If you are looking to have a membership start immediately, you may purchase one of our other memberships and starting using it upon the date of purchase instead of waiting to see if you are selected for the young professional membership which wouldn’t start until after March 16th.

Weekday Membership Categories and Pricing

Privileges

• Unlimited greens fees Monday – Friday (includes holidays)
• Twilight play on Saturday and Sunday
• Priority tee time reservation (14 days in advance)
• 10% discount on selected merchandise in the golf shop and golf clubs
• Admission to member only tournaments (pay faculty/staff rates for weekend tournaments)
• Complimentary USGA handicap
• Riding Fee is required on in season (March 15- November 30) Fridays, Weekends & holidays before 12:00pm
• 2025 Member Riding Fees – 9 Holes $12 18 Holes $20

Terms and Conditions of Membership

The term of a Weekday Membership is April 1 – March 31 of the following year. Prorated memberships are offered for those who join in June or later.

Faculty/Staff memberships are available to any University of Maryland University System employee regardless of affiliation to UMCP. Young Professional Memberships offered to those under the age of 35.​

Please consider making a donation to the UMCP Foundation Tee to Green fund when renewing your membership. Tee to Green contributions are tax deductible and help identify the donor’s relationship to the University of Maryland, College Park. $50.00 is the minimum contribution unless you are a Friend of the Golf Course, Faculty/Staff or already donate to M-Club, Terrapin Club, or the Alumni Association.

**Memberships are Non-Refundable & Non-Transferable**

Twilight Membership Pricing

Privileges

• Unlimited golf beginning one hour before twilight March 15-November 30 (Designated Twilight time between December 1-March 14)
  • March 9- May 11 – Twilight is 4pm
  • May 12-Sept 19 – Twilight is 5pm
  • Sept 20-Nov 1 – Twilight is 4pm
  • Nov 2- March 2026 – Twilight is 2pm

Privileges

• Must be a member of UMSGA or the UM Women’s Golf Association
• Includes green fees when playing with the organization on their scheduled day.
• Member Discount on Merchandise of 10%
• Admission to member only tournaments (pay green faculty/staff green fee for weekend tournaments)
• USGA handicap fee $30 (in addition to membership cost)
• 2025 Association Member Riding Fee- 9-Holes $12 18-Holes $20

The term of an Association Membership runs March 15 – November 30 of a calendar year. Association members must be a member of either UMSGA or the UM Women’s Golf Association.

Corporate Membership Pack Pricing

Privileges

• Sixty (60) 18 hole rounds of golf with cart. Rounds may be used at any time Monday – Friday and after 1:00 PM on weekends and holidays ($25 surcharge weekends and holidays before 1:00 PM). 9 hole twilight rounds can be counted as a 1/2 round.
• All rounds are for the calendar year
• Up to five (5) designated employees may share the pass program
• Priority tee time reservation (14 days in advance)
• 10% discount on selected merchandise in the golf shop
• Corporate logo’d items (golf balls, shirts, tees, etc.) at cost +15%
• Golf clubs at cost + 15%
• Admission to member only tournaments
• Three (3) complimentary USGA handicaps
• All Corporate Passes must be paid by company check or credit card.

Student Membership Options and Pricing

Privileges

• Unlimited golf during days of membership (5 or 7-Days**)
  • Weekends & Holidays after 12pm
• Calendar Year Members:
  • ​Priority tee time reservation (14 days in advance)
  • Admission to member only tournaments
  • 10% discount on selected merchandise in the golf shop
• ​$30 USGA handicap
• Riding Fee is required in season Fridays, Weekends & holidays before 12:00pm (even if walking)
  • ​In season golf is March 15-November 30
• 2025 Member Cart Pricing 9-Holes $12 18-Holes $20

Terms and Conditions of Membership

-The term of a Semester Student Membership runs from the first day of classes thru the last day of exams.

-The term of an Academic Year Student Membership runs from the first day of the Fall Semester thru the last day of exams in the Spring Semester.

-The term of a Calendar Year Student Membership runs 1 year from the date of purchase.

-Student Memberships are available to current UMCP students, full time students at any UM System School, and youths under the age of 18. Graduating seniors are eligible for the Calendar Year Student Membership at student price.

• Complete the below google form prior to arrival at the UMD Golf Course
• Once the form has been submitted we will be able to access your resopnses and you can then pay for your membership
• You will also recieve an email copy of your responses for your record
• Please arrive 20 mintues before your tee time if you are purchasing a membership to allow for the membership sale and processing. If you show up less than 20 mintues before your tee time we will not be able to process your membership and you will have to pay to play as a non-member for that round.  Any greens fees paid will not be deducted from your membership cost.
